Hey guys. Hoping that you can help me with an annoyance.

I got a new PC, and was wondering if you could help with something.

I've tried installing a new graphics card into it (PCI Express), and going into the BIOS so that the computer will use that instead of the (rather rubbish) shared onboard graphics, but upon start-up, the windows XP logo shows up, and then the screen goes blank.

We've tried examining the power supply (having upgraded it) to no avail, we've tried more than one graphics card (to no avail), and we've tried going through the BIOS for some annoying hidden setting (once again, to no avail.)

Would you have any idea what could fix this annoyance?

Many thanks

If you're going to actually use extra graphics card you'll need the extra one to have it's own onboard bios. Otherwise disable the onboard graphics to allow access to the other that you intend to use. You may have to boot OS in safe mode to install card drivers.
