When I want to boot sometimes the computer goes well sometimes it takes a lot of times.

I have put all the uneeded apps away but it seems that this erratic misfunction is not a repeatable one.

I do not know what happens: I defrag, ..... the temperature is good (30 °C ) , I have a lot of peripharals but everything is on an auto-supply hub???

Have had the same prob ??

I have had the solution : it is due to xp which is lowering the UDMAmode to PIO so you are passing from 20 M/s to 6 M/s after 6 CRC check.
You have to uninstall the driver of the HD in ATA:ATAPI controller section in System and then you reboot twice and PIO is now changed into the good option ;)
