Hi everyone !!!
I have a Dell Inspiron 5150, with an A38 BIOS , a 2.8 GHz processor and a 60GB hard drive in it. I know that it calls for PC2700 RAM, up to 2GB. I want to know , since PC2700 is so expensive, if PC2100 will work in it just fine ?
The hard drive turns at 7,200 RPM's and I have Windows XP Pro.
Any and all info will be of great help !!!

Thats true but it would be a bit slower than PC2700 though -but it would work. How much RAM have you now and what speed is it?

If you do upgrade it is better to have two of the same size and speed.
If your after 2GB get a kit of two 1GB etc...

- hope this helps.

Thank you both for your replys. I will try the PC2100 and see how that works out !

and it will make the 2700 you have in now run at 266 also

After looking at the prices of the PC2100 and the PC2700...I will just go with the PC2700. There wasn't much a difference in price.
