In a machine harddisk was not detected,so i connected it to another one.it was detected. I formatted the harddisk by win xp and then reconnected to the previous machine,but still the problem was not solved....please help

Hi

Have you checked the bios to see that the drive is recognized, if not either do auto detect hard drives or do a manual recognition. To enter the bios most machines use either the del or f8 or may even be f2, you need to reboot the machine then look for which key to press to enter the bios.

try to check the port and check a another harddisk in this machine.
