Hi All,

We are having the following problem on one home comp, this happens without warrning and with no visible pattern, sometimes when idle, sometimes when browsing files and even during games.
The computer is about 2-3 years old and has:
P4 -2.4 Ghz
256 DDR 333
Win 2000 pro
I updated from the microsoft with all the critical components, scanned with NAV, and with 2 spyware programs and even performed an online scan, and no viruses were found.

Before I am running to a techician I though maybe you guys can throw some advise.

Two common problems are overheating, which can be monitored with software or by checking cmos/bios, and the other is a failing power supply.
