I removed the motherboard on my Gateway 450SX laptop to resolder the power input jack. Since then the monitor will "scramble" at random times for no apparent reason. I tried connecting a crt monitor and the same thing will happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

All connections are good.
but I still have the same problems. After the screen scrambles, the computer locks up. When I restart it, it takes 3 - 4 minutes of the fan running and the screen staying black before it acutally does something.
