Yeah! If you have an ATA100 hard drive, it use the ATA100 standards for any system... You want a HP hard drive?

well, Im bidding on a computer at work that is a little damaged and I mainly want to use it for parts. I was talking to my friend about it and he said HP harddrives didnt work with anything other than HP systems. Will it work with ATA 133 because im getting the new A8N ASUS SLI Deluxe 939 mobo and all it has is ATA 133, the rest is all serial ATA.

If im not mistaken, only Maxtor makes ATA133 and I think it works with ATA100 but not sure cuz I never had one.
