ok i got a Fujistu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5505
worked fine til now...
then all of a sudden it won't start.. like the battery is dead... nothing happens.. nothing at all ...not one beep or sound

then when i conect the power adapter it starts beeping repeatedly .. no pattern of beeps .. just the same sound in a loop and the LEDs from the LAN port and Modem port flash with the beeps.
nothing else happens.

I'm sure it's somekind of error code but i can't tell what it is..

please give me some insight

Brief summary and immediate direction for : the reported failure to complete POST while the machine emits a continuous, repeating beep and the network/modem LEDs flash most often points to either a power-delivery problem (faulty adapter or DC jack), a POST-level hardware fault (memory, motherboard or a stuck input), or damage from overheating/liquid. Troubleshooting should proceed from the cheapest, safest checks toward board-level inspection.

Recommended step-by-step checks (in order):

  • Verify the AC adapter output with a multimeter or swap in a known-good Fujitsu-compatible adapter of the same rating. Check voltage, polarity and that the barrel connector fits snugly.
  • Remove the main battery, disconnect all peripherals, and perform a power drain (hold the power button ~30 seconds with AC and battery removed), then connect AC only and try power-up.
  • Reseat the RAM modules: remove both sticks if present and try each module alone in each slot. Remove HDD/optical drive so the system attempts only a minimal POST. Note any change in beep pattern.

Interpreting results and next actions: a change in beep behavior when RAM is removed or swapped points toward memory or the memory slots; persistent identical beeps with no RAM or drives usually implicates the motherboard, power rail, or a shorted/stuck power input. If the DC jack is loose or the barrel connector heats, that supports a power-delivery fault. Visible signs (burn marks, bulging capacitors, corrosion under the keyboard) indicate board damage.

Safety and practical notes: disconnect battery and AC before opening the case and use ESD precautions. If multimeter checks and RAM swaps don’t help, the repair will likely require component-level service; for an older Fujitsu-Siemens V5505, compare repair cost to replacement value.

ok so I see no one has any idea what it could be so far ,
that or the 90+ views are from people with similar problems

let me give some more details...

the notebook was left on as i was watching a movie late at night
and in the morning was found by my room mate making the weird beeping sound.

I was thinking that perhaps something happend to the power supply (that would be the more fortunate case) in which it isn't sending the proper voltage or amperage and the computer stoped accepting the power went on battery and later in the night died. then started receiving the bad kind of power from the adapter and has some failsafe not allowing it to start on that voltage.
Is that even possible?
I will test this theory as soon as i find another power adapter just like mine.

any kind of ideea is welcome , please don't be shy

Thanks
