Most motherboards these days come with onboard video which is adequate for the kind of thing I want to do. It uses part of the installed RAM. Meanwhile, 32-bit Windows has a limit of 3GB of usable RAM. So the question is: if I install 4GB (particularly if I do that using a matched pait of 2GB modules), will the video use the portion in excess of 3GB and leave Windows the maximum it can handle? And will I still get the benefit of dual-channel memory access?

hi,no is my answer ,im just making an assumption base what knowledge i have of computers ,simple answer is that this will not work ,because video device and drivers are part of windows ,so windows has a limit of 3GB of usable RAM, so i don't see how it could access and use the rest of the 4gig if it has a limit as to how much it can access !
