I have a problem as follows..

When I connect the AC power supply to the laptop, the AC power light glows green... if the battery is there.. the battery is charging. When I press ON button, the AC power light turns to amber/orange and blinking and the laptop won't start... nothing at all.

Blinking pattern: 5 blink then 3 blink stop for a while then repeat the same blinking pattern.

Hope someone can help me or give some ideas..

I have been fixing and selling laptop and batteries for several years, and seen some of these problems. Here are my suggestions:

1, most likely battery problem; borrow someone's good battery, or go to a small computer shop to check the battery before you buy.

2, less likely m/b problem.
