the drive d partition of my hard disk all of a sudden takes a long time to open. im using windows vista home premium.i have defragmented it but to no avail. the problem still remains.please help. i fear that the hard disk is about to crash. any help is greatly appreciated. thank

Jump to Postgo to mycomputer ,right click on the hdd icon go to properties/tools,and do a scan for errors

ok. that sounds terrible, you'd better copy or back up the info in this hard disk void of data loss caused by crash
please try both defragment and error-checking
if nothing unavailable, please wipe the partition and restore the files to the partition again.
