I got extremely confused. I asked in many places, I got extremely random and contradicting answers. I even tried HP customer service. I got two contradicting answers from two different agents.


My questions are:
1) Do I need drive caddies for HP dv7tqe?

2) The most important: Do the caddies only hold the drives in place, or do they also provide connectivity? In other words, if I don't buy a caddy, will I still be able to connect the drives somehow?

3) This is related to the previous questions, but it is more specific: Will I be able to somehow connect a HDD in place of a CD-ROM in the HP dv7tqe without buying anything?
