Hey, guys

I currently have the AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition, but I am in need of an upgrade because my habit of gaming requires it.

I would unlock the other cores in the CPU with my AsRock mobo, which has the UCC feature in the BIOS, but whenever I try that the computer refuses to output to my display for some very strange reason.

So do you guys have any recommendations as to what I could replace my CPU with?

Thanks,

Just overclock it and it will do you fine. Most games are likely not able to utilise more than 2 cores anyway :).

I'd love to do that, but I have no idea on how to, and I've heard that it can be risky - especially if you don't know what you're doing.

There is only ONE reason to purchase a Black Edition chip. OVERCLOCKING :).
List your Motherboard specs and I will find a link for you giving an easy lesson in overclocking.

I suggest that you overclock it also.
