No signal gtx560 asrock extreme3

I recently built a new pc with father but as we power it on all the fans work etc but the monitor goes from no cable connected to to no signal then goes to standby. All the power is in properly and the gpu is in the pcie slot properly. We tried it with another monitor and got the same result.

Gtx 560 ti twin frozr ii
corsair 2x4gb 1600 mhz ram
asrock extreme3 870
amd phenom ii x4 955 be
not using stock cooler but that fan still works perfectly by looks of it.
Neo eco 520w power supply

We are quite stuck here, we hace tried differnet power combinations etc but no luck. The menu on monitor wont work wither while the computer just loads up. Windows is not installed yet.

Usually these systems have some sort of boot error indications in the audio beeps. Do you hear anything out of the system speaker (not external ones, but one built into the system enclosure)?

If you have another graphics card, try swapping it out, it may just be a bad card.
