I have 3 sticks of 512mb RAM and 4 slots in which to put them in... would 3 512mb single channels be better than 2 running on dual channel? I play alot of graphically demanding games (COD2, CS:S, quake 4 etc...) and do the occaisional bit of image editing, and have recently found a liking for having a voice chat on msn whilst listening to music and playing CS:S. XD

My vote is to go with pairs. Especially if your motherboard supporst dual channel ram. You will get a better speed boost from dual channel, but if you are doing huge huge work in photoshop and videoediting and are running low on ram while doing it then the 1.5 would be best. For gaming stick with the dual channel tho. Just my 2 cents
