If anybody has the time to respond thanks and your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am running the 775 socket, 3.2 intel. I get to the installing devices portion of XP set up and the PC shuts off. I have tried all the methods of
removing hardware piece by piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Im sure this lacks information.

What do you mean by shut off, does it turn off, "off", or just re-boot. You do know that xp after loading all the files it needs to install on your computer will rstart? Is ithat what is happening?

What are your HD drives PATA or SATA?
