recently bought a p4 3.2 478 skt,800 fsb,cpu and replacing an old celeron 2.6,install new cpu and nothing happens,can some one help as i have downloaded updates and still does not work

Some motherboards will not support that processor. I have the same chip and ran into the same problem even though my motherboard specifically said it would support it. I solved my problem by getting a new motherboard.
