We booted from a system cd and formated the 250GB sata hard drive, partitioning it.
I am trying to get my newly built computer to recognise my satas cd drive (a SH-W163A BEBN) so that I can load Windows 98.

I have copied the dos_drive directory from the cd onto a floppy and have tried installing it on to the C drive of new computer.
The Autoexec.bat have both been modified by the CDSETUP.EXE.

The Config.sys now says
DEVICE=C:\SAMSUNG\SSCDROM.SYS /D:SSCD000 /V

The Autoexec.bat says
C:\SAMSUNG\MSCDEX /D:SSCD000

Then I have rebooted as instructed.

The messages that then appear are:

TSST CD/DVD-ROM device driver version 1.001
copyright(c) toshiba samsung storage technology corporation
Device name : SSCD000
No drives found, aborting installation

C:\>
C:\SAMSUNG\MSCDEX /D:SSCD000
Device driver not found : 'SSCD000'
No valid CD ROM device drivers selected.

Where is this device driver? What do I need to do?

Thankyou in anticipation of your help!
