I have a problem with the Toshiba Tecra 8100. I had a virus three weeks ago, the problem was fixed.

Since then, the computer had problems booting.

Now the computer does not even load up. The computer does not even go past the "post" setup or even has display.

My friend says maybe the "bios" maybe got infected. May we use a boot block feature with a bootable CD-ROM to reload the bios software? Please help....

you need to take the machine apart and then pop out the cmos battery or short the bios via jumper. then replace the battery, if this is the path taken, and reboot the system.
Hope this helps,
Nick
