Hey,
I haven't made much use of the usb ports within the past 2 weeks, but just recently I went to store some files on my flash drive, and the computer didn't pick it up. I tried hooking up both my digital camera and graphics tablet, didn't detect either of them.
When I boot up the light on my graphics tablet switches on ,and turns itself off after I reach the log-in screen.

The only two things I can threcall doing within the past 3 weeks, that would induce such misfunction(s), are;

-Repairing windows files(sp2), using a disk (which contained neither (sp1/sp2)

-Re-installing(sp1), as to the previous(sp2). So I cound install and use Photoshop.

After I 'repaired' the files, (which was pretty stupid, but I have my reasons);
The onboard sound-driver decided to kill itself (which I've fixed.)
and; When I boot up, the loading-screen (prior to log-in), takes about 2 and a half minutes to prompt me for the password.(which gets annoying whilst having to constantly reset.)

..If that made any sense, does anyone have any ideas,
as to what is causing the usb not to detect any peripherals?
