Driver for DVD/RW

I'm trying to use an HP DVD writer (200j), but I can't find the driver anywhere. I've used it before on this laptop, but for some reason there's no driver for it.

Windows recognized the device after several attempts, but the driver icon has that proverbial yellow exclamation mark.

Interestingly, Windows immediately recognized the device on my newer laptop.

I can't seem to find the original CD that came with this drive, and that's moot anyway since this is the only drive the computer has.

Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this problem?

I've tried looking for drivers on their page, but no go. I went to this link:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=81683&lang=en

and tried the firmware update, but nothing happened.

I've also scoured the Web for this driver, but it doesn't seem to be out there. :-|
