i was tinkering with my pc and i saw this "ASP.NET Machine A..." account in user accounts in control panel. since i don't know what it is or what it is for; i wanted to ask what it's for and if it is safe for me to delete this account?

I had one of those accounts on my computer a while ago. I think it came in when I installed Microsoft Visual Studio 2003.

I deleted mine, and nothing awful happened. If you don't do any ASP.NET developement, you should be OK to delete. I suppose.

But, it doesn't do anything. And it really doesn't use that much space. So may as well leave well enough alone and just leave it there.
