I'm building a new pc from scratch and would like to have a sound card this time around becuase on board sound is really not getting louad enough and the sound quality is horrible. I was looking around and noticed that sound cards have less channels than the onboard sound.. is this better? is it the less the better or the other way around? I'm looking for a decent sound card around 40 bucks.
