Does it work without battery? (A/C only)

A whole new motherboard? Depends on the model, but, in general, no. I suppose that it wouldn't be too much $$$ to have it fixed.

it is a hp pavillion ze4200 and how much is not to much money to fix it??

Battery could be bad as Chaky asked does does it work with AC only?

(off the top of my head) new battery ~$150

If it works without battery, than it is 99% dead battery on your hands.

If it doesn't work then you need to get it fixed at the srevice shop. Price depends on the shop. (my guess ~$50)

yeah, batteries just wear out over time. buy a new one and see
