My computer froze and when I rebooted, my windows log on screen came up but my keyboard and mouse didn't work. Rebooted again, keyboard lights up (still doesn't work) but then I can't get past bios screen and mouse still does not work. Rebooting randomly changes from bios screen to keyboard not working. My son had plugged his IPOD in the computer for recharging. What should I start checking? I have a Dell XPS and am running Windows professional media.

unplug electrical cord ,hold in the power button for 40 seconds ,then plug it back in and try again .
