Hi there,
I was searching for a good mid-range graphics card (I mainly play COD2, but i wanna keep the option open for more recent games) and thought I'd get an XFX GeForce 7600GS 256mb DDR2 (shown here http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=456R)
I was ready to buy when I thought I'd check my motherboard in case it had an AGP port and I could get an AGP version (which is better, isn't it?) when I found a list of compatible video cards that the manufacturer had made. My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-M61VME-S2: http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=2381&ProductName=GA-M61VME-S2 and the list is here: http://www.giga-byte.com.tw/FileList/GraphicsCardSupport/motherboard_agp_ga-m61vme-s2.pdf
Does this mean that I wouldn't be able to fit that card, since it isn't on the list? Or is it simply a recommendation?
Sorry if this sounds horribly noobish, and thanks in advance!
