Hello, I need some information as to why my friends DVD burner no longer works, in device manager it has that dreaded Exclamation mark next to it, I have done everthing from re-installing the drivers to changing the DVD Burner with one that works on another computer(I did this with 2 different Burners)with the same result, I even put the original non working one into two other computers and it works perfectly.I checked the Bios and it is there as it should be,but once in GUI mode(XP Home Edition),Nothing just that damn "!".Can you tell me what's wrong?I don't want to re-install the OS just because of this,because,as you may well know I cannot backup any files without having to buy an external storage device or using a million floopy disk(do they still make those?....lol). Any input would be much appreciated, thank you
