Your pc is infected. I see no evidence of any antivirus software.
You need to install a virus scanner and do a complete scan with it before attempting to clean anything else.

Avast is good - http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

The title of your post is cannot access microsoft.com. Can you access any websites?

Also do you get random popups appearing without going onto any other websites?

* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

Make sure that you restart the computer.

processes I can see staight of the bat:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ms18_word.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Policies\Explorer\Run: [do_not_delete] C:\WINDOWS\system32\do_not_delete.exe (ironic I know)

Those two alone (especially on XP) can do untold damage to the OS, as well as dropping in other extras.

MBA is definitely the way to go. And get a decent AV client - Comodo, Avira, Avast ALL have decent free offerings

I have already recommended that av software be installed in post #2.

Here's my Malware bytes report

I installed and antivirus and ran it found a couple of virus'

What is the AV called? I see no evidence that you have, in fact installed one.
Your last log looks worse than your first, which indicates the problem is spreading.
Install an anti-virus or everyone here who is trying to help you are just wasting their time.
MBA-M needs updating. The latest database is 2546.

Every one is being very helpful and i have Malware Bytes ANtimalware as well as Adware AE

I have already recommended that av software be installed in post #2.

I know you did RCE - just backing that up with a little more info. Not trying to out do you at all.

Every one is being very helpful and i have Malware Bytes ANtimalware as well as Adware SE

These are all "fix-it" applications", not preventions. You NEED a decent AV Suite, not only to aid in cleaning up this mess, but also to prevent further infections. If you have nothing to prevent other viruses/malware from reinfecting your system, then there really is no point in us helping you remove this problem... as is only a short matter of time before the problem starts all over again.

They are NOT anti-virus programs. You need to install one as Rik from RCE asked to to do.

Can' cause when i click the link it says SERVER NOT FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The link for Avast I gave you is working perfectly for me. Give it another try.

Now i have

Malwarebytes Antimalware
Ad-ware AE
Spy-bot search and destroy 1.62
Avast 4
AVG 8.5

You need to get Avast to do a complete scan of your system.

Let us know if it finds anything, if it does, let us know exactly what it finds.

Can' cause when i click the link it says SERVER NOT FOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No need to shout! If you had said that earlier, we would not be having this conversation.

Sorry Scan is still going so far all its found is two cookies

As an aside, running multiple AV's is NEVER a good idea, as conflicts can arise, as well as having them cancel each other out. You end up with less protection not more.

thanks for that i've only got AVG installed its found 7

Hi the scan finished In the end it found

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\VRT3E.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\System32\D3.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\System32\17.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\System32\12.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386\author.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegAsm.exe
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\jsc.exe

HELP

In order to "help", you need to update us one where you stand with the initial problems. You said those files were located by AVG (still say get rid of that hell-ware and get a real AV)... did you remove said files. Any progress made?

We can't help if you don't keep us updated... the crystal ball ain't functioning that well

There is still no sign of an active virus scanner. Without virus protection, we will be fighting a battle we can't possibly win.

None of the security software is antivirus, that includes AVG. They are all antimalware programs.

Got AVG Free 8.5 And is scaning now
