Hi all.

Is there a way that I can change the font color of the boot up messages? if so how? (I checked the vidcontrol man page and that only changes the font color after FreeBSD done with boot up)

Thanks
Mark

Ok after research for one day (looking at the man pages) I finally figured it out.
syscons is the way. man syscons explains everything.

If anyone in here still have question about syscons let me know.

Now even I enabled SC_PIXEL_MODE in kernel and build it, I still can't get the resolution of the screen change to one of the higher one.

when I use vidcontrol -i mode | less to which one I can use then
vidcontrol MODE_263 -> 1280x1024x8 I get an error message -> "Cannot activate raster display"

Can someone help me on that?

Thanks
Mark
