hey guys,

i am a regular pc guy with windows xp installed on my system. I was thinking of buying a mac mini, but i would like to try the os out first. Is there such a thing as a live cd of mac os x?

No, and you couldn't run it on your PC anyway.. it's built only for PowerPC architecture. There's no such animal as OS X for x86 (at least not one that is available to the public). There's some crap called PearPC and CherryPC (I think) that do some PowerPC emulation for OS X on x86, but it's unbelievably slow, and uses a VERY old version of OS X.
