My MacBook Air laptop keeps shutting off everytime I turn it on. I don't know what i should do. Help?

Does this happen when it is running on battery or while it is connected to the power cable?

Its 2 Years old.
It happens when I connect the cable and when it's not connected.
I don't think it has a switch.
I close it when it's totally shut cdown.
Like 15 seconds
