Hi does anybody know how group policy works?

I open the group policy console and I enable a certain rule for example the one that prohibits the use of Movie Maker" I close the console and restart and the try to open Movie Maker and I'm still able to work with it.

What am I doing wrong?

Did you log out and back in? Policy changes don't take effect until your next logon.
