Windows Vista x64 Edition ... Windows Vista Service Pack 1 for x64-based Systems failed through Windows Update. Error details: Code 80010108.

Downloaded SP1 exe through the Windows website and installation was successful. Can't for the life of me find out what the error code means, and whether it was something serious, whether the installation got halfway through or not before it failed, etc.

It ran via Automatic Updates when I was in California, so I didn't get back to the machine until days later. However, I was using remote desktop into my machine through my entire trip with no problems.

I found this page when I was having similar problems updating a Dell notebook. Didn't help me much; turned out SP1 didn't play nice with some of the Dell's older drivers. Once I updated the drivers Windows Update worked fine.
