The message you are seeing usually means a web filter has classified those domains as “anonymizers/URL translators.” is right: first figure out where the block lives. If it is on a managed network (school, work, ISP), do not try to bypass it; request a review or an exception through the administrator. Many orgs enforce blocks using Edge URL policies (URLBlocklist/URLAllowlist), which only an admin can change. (learn.microsoft.com)

If you own the PC and suspect the block is device-side, try these safe checks on Windows 10/11:

  • System proxy: Settings > Network & internet > Proxy. Make sure no unknown proxy or setup script is configured. If one is set and you did not add it, remove it and reboot. (support.microsoft.com)
  • WinHTTP proxy (affects some apps and updaters): open an elevated Command Prompt and inspect it with:
netsh winhttp show proxy

If you see an unfamiliar proxy, talk to whoever manages the device or remove it only if you are certain you configured it yourself. (learn.microsoft.com)

  • Hosts file tampering: if specific sites resolve to 127.0.0.1 or another unexpected IP, reset the Hosts file to defaults. (support.microsoft.com)
  • Family Safety: on child accounts, web filtering may be enabled and only applies in Edge; a family organizer must change those settings. (support.microsoft.com)

’s Restricted Sites tip still helps on personal, unmanaged PCs. On domain-joined machines, those controls can be locked by Group Policy, so you would need admin help. Also, as hinted, respect school/work policies. Archive snapshots can be useful for reading old public pages, but they are not a workaround for live, filtered content or logins.

not sure but assuming you are using IE as your browser ,go to tool/internet options /security/restricted sites /sites and remove the ones you want to go to if they are in there .

It all depends on whether these are being blocked on your computer, or by your network. If this is a managed network, or the sites are blocked by your ISP, then there's not much you can do about it.

My guess is one of those school kids wanting to bypass school's filters??? Go be a pain in the proverbial elsewhere... the filters are there for a reason!
