I have recently added a sound system to my computer, and by and large it works fine.

However, when I call up Windows Recorder from my programmes menu list in order to make a sound recording, the maximum period for which the programme will record is 60 seconds. It then halts.

I can not find how to extend the recording period beyond 60 seconds.

For the 60 seconds within which it runs, the sound recording is fine.

Suggestions welcomed please.

Thats normal. The built in windows sound recorder (even on xp) cant record more than 60 seconds

For longer recordings download a program called Audacity (free)
