There is this computer that started to hang after around every 10 minutes and I keep on rebooting for it to work again and it started to behave this just yesterday,I tried to remove all programs running in the background except the vital one but it still hangs and the hdd doest make any suspicious sounds .Prior to this I hadn't installed or unstalled any programs.It contains very useful data ,its a pentium 4 with 128 mb ram and 20gb hdd.I cant even complete running the anti-virus as it hangs even b4 it completes execution. Any suggestions to the cause of this? I would really appreciate

Practically a Master Poster
Two things come to mind...
First try to run it in SAFE MODE...
This will help define a hardware vs software problem...
Secondly, it might be an overheating problem...
Check to make sure the CPU fan is clean and spinning free and fast...
Please give us the hardware info....
