This topic was presented to the microsoft discussions group. The reply was sufficiently cryptic to make it unusable. Looking for a 123 comprehensible set of steps

okay run Cleanmgr.exe /sageset: n

(where n is a number you choose)
Select the things you want removed.

Now in future when you run Cleanmgr.exe /sagerun:n

(where n is the number you set earlier)

it will automatically remove the optiions you selected earlier
