I must have accidentally deleted system.ini file for my 98 (I also use 2000), cause . Of course 98 can't log from now on. Can something be done (I don't want to reinstall both OS)?

You can restore from backups. or try to re-create the file by hand. By hand is probably not going to work... and it sounds like you didn't make backups, so I think you are going to re-install.

What OS did you delete it in? Is it possible it's in the recycle bin?
