So I'm trying to wipe my installation of XP Home on a Dell Inspiron E1705 and when I try to run the installation I get ACPI.sys is corrupted. I've already updated the BIOS and the Chipset from Dell's website, I've tried multiple installation disks, but no avail. If anyone has any idea what could be causing this please feel free to share.

Thanks,
Clinton

There is no section in the BIOS relating to the CD drive at all. Any other ideas?
