My friend runs a Windows ME computer. One problem - There are no toolbars available in Explorer view. OK if I select the default 'Open' view to browse folders - the toolbars are available.

This is probably a regedit change - any ideas, people? http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=32#

are you refering to Windows explorer ,or Internet Explorer !,

are you refering to Windows explorer ,or Internet Explorer !,

Windows Explorer. Have looked at the folder options (view) tab and I can't see anything that can restore the menu and toolbars.
This may be relevant: I removed around 250 pieces of junk using Adaware SE along with 2 so-called search toolbars - not the Google sort - the tracker sort. This fixed lots of other problems but the Windows Explorer toolbars are still missing.

sorry, I have no solution for you to try .
