I have a Dell Optiplex GX 520 PC. After downloading an antivirus my computer went to the blue screen, when I tried to reinstall Windows XP, my hard drive could not be found. For some reason I no longer have a hard drive, any idea why?

You should repair it using Norton Ghost live CD. I think your hard drive has lost partition drive or you can use recovery software for your hard drive. It would be better if you use Testdisk application, you can download it from http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Download
it is free software.
