New, topic but still related to the past three.

I have been able to finally get W2K, by flashing the BIOS, installing each IDE device, one at a time, to now see them as a new setup and not as originally installed.

When the computer boots, all IDE devices are found immediately, but when it goes into POST, the IDE devices seem to have been lost and it takes a 15 second search before they are found.

Having three of the devices connected (doesn't matter what ones), they are recognized by the OS immediately during POST, just as the BIOS does.

But when I add the 4th IDE device, be it HDD or CD, POST goes into the 15 second search mood again.
