Hi-I am facing one peculier problem. I have one windows 2k3 domain server. This server is unable to detect keyboad. with so i am not able to log in. i tryed USB keyboad without success.

While re-boot the server, it okay with the keyboard but as if it shows login screen, It is not detect.

Anyway server is ok.

Starting with the obvious questions first:

  • Have you tried another keyboard to ensure yours isn't fried
  • Have you tried a USB mouse just to check USB port is functional.
  • Also try mouse or alternate keyboard on all other ports just to ensure all USB ports are working A-OK

As I said, start simple, and we can dig further if not such an easy fix

As a quick fix, have you tried using the on-screen keyboard (available on Log-in screen under "ease of access", or what-ever phrasing used in W2K3)... at least will get you logged on and more able to investigate other options
