My buddy is sending me background music with his e-mail. However it shows up as an attachment instead of playing as soon as I open the e-mail. How can I fix this problem to it does not show up as an attachment but play automatically?

I'm not so sure you can do that. He's basically sending an HTML file to you that says to play music in the background. If you want the possibility of hearing the sound, you'd have to provide a URL for the sound, rather than an attached file. Using a URL would ensure that you had a consistent place to tell your email client where to find the music you're looking for. I've never done this with Outlook Express, so this suggestion is all I could provide.
