I don't think you are setting up a Storage Area Network and need a "V switch" But just in case here are some details on a v switch...

If you asked where the booting will be done when you "U" switch on a system, then it would be in the hard drive/ motherboard/ memory, BIOS, maybe the CD/DVD/USB drive.
I normally do that on the front left hand wheel of a Honda XP Pro SP3 motor bike, but I am silly.
