i have a gateway labtop...i used the s-video out ...when i was done i turned it off..the next day i turned it on and have
-black screen-power light on-hard drive spinning-no beeps-keyboard not working-blown cap replaced..have 18.5v across cap now....have power on lcd plug 18.5v (black wire)...dont know what to do next..motherboard $380.00, not an option.

Fl inverter? well i turned it on and saw that there is no power to my rectifier F7832 on the source input.....not sure where to look.
gate = 5v.....source= 0.0v......drain = 0.97v the 8-pin ic is next to the cap that blew up,but all ready replaced the cap.

press fn button and lcd on the keyboard you should get it back to default
