Hello,
I have downloaded several avi files which I want to convert to WMV, however the sound will only play in Windows Media Player. When I try to open them with Windows Movie Maker, or any other player or converter, no sound is played (but the video is fine).

I have analysed them with GSpot and it says that the audio codec is 0x0161 (WMV); 48,000Hz 160kB/s (2 channels).

I have other AVI files which do have sound that plays in other players. GSpot says their audio codec is 0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3.

If anyone can tell me how to fix this, at least for Windows Movie Maker, it would be greatly appreciated!
