The trial version of Microsoft 2007 expired. After I uninstalled it, apparently all versions of Microsoft Office went with it and it locked up my CD reader as well. When I click on a document or spread sheet to open, I get an install wizard asking for the original disc. I install the original disc but nothing happens. The device manager says the CD reader is working--except it obviously isn't. Had I known the trial version was going to cause such havoc, I never would have tried it. Any suggestions would be helpful for returning my computer to it's former working state where I can access my files.
