i tried to change my desktop wallpaper today and i keep getting this message: "internet explorer cannot find the active desktop html file. this file is needed for your active desktop. -to turn off active desktop, click OK"
- so i went on google and did a search for the problem, i got a whole bunch of stuff, but none helped. :cry:

any1 have any ideas about this? ur post are appreciated :lol:

i solved the problem,
somehow 'my current home page' got enabled in the customize desktop. i just unchecked the box and that seemed to solve the problem.

how can i restore my desktop.html it was deleted in the folder when there was a virus detected in my systems.....

click on start menu THEN HIT run and type regsvr32 /i Mshtml.dll AFTER THAT HIT OK BOTTON THEN AGAIN OK BOTTON AND THAT'S ALL.
THIS TIP WORKS WITH MOST PC OS.

Thanks mine was just the same problem.
My half background on dextop was white and a not available html file was there.
