i am trying to connect my laptop, that runs windows xp to my new lcd tv through vgi, but this message comes up

IS IT SAFE TO CONTINUE ANYWAYS? IF DOESNT WORK IS THERE A WAY AROUND IT?

It should work fine. All that message really means is that the manufacturer of your TV hasn't paid Microsoft to have their hardware varified!
